I feel like I should be sending 5sos a formal thank you letter these days man, over the past year they’ve posted quite a few of my pictures to various social media sites and it sounds so dumb and stupid but it really helps me. I woke up to this specific one this morning and (although 100% of the likes are just bc 5SOS) it was crazy that a large amount of people had seen one of my photographs.

For those of you that don’t know me (i can’t blame you i’m not socialite of the year) I, like many other people, are begging to get a chance to be taken seriously in terms of music photography. (before you say it I am aware my pictures suck ass okay.) It’s so hard to get an audience which is why 5SOS posting my crap helps so much man.

Back in March last year I took a crappy compact camera to a couple of One Direction gigs and ended up with a serious amount of 5sos photos. The quality of them was none to be desired and yet I found them covering 5SOS’ social media and I can’t tell you how surreal that was for me. All of sudden there were people complimenting things I had taken and asking to see more of what I had to offer, it seriously felt like a step up and in the right direction.

Obviously I have a long way to go and gig photography is nothing but a hobby to me at present but it just means a lot man like I don’t think they even realise it.

Anyway I apologise for this hella boring sob story, I’m honestly making myself cringe too but I just had to voice this.

Sorry I’m going to shut up.

a little over a year ago I used to complain about not having any physical copies of 5sos’ work

now there’s enough to make a pile. we’re moving on up guys.
